Whats the difference between the Micro Peel & the Skin Renewal Peel?

There is no comparison between the two peels and should not be confused with one another.  The Micro Peel is a mild peeling which will lightly flake and exfoliate the skin, leaving it refreshed and soft. The Micro Peel has little to no downtime, while the Skin Renewal Peel Does.

What results will I see?

The Micro Peel smooths fine lines, wrinkles and evens out skin discoloration. It improves skin texture, reduces the appearance of acne scars and diminishes pores. A series of 6 treatments will give incredible results.

What happens to my skin after the procedure?

For approximately one week following the procedure, the skin will undergo a renewal process, lightly shedding its dead outer layer. You may or may not experience peeling. If peeling occurs, it usually begins four to five days following the treatment and lasts for approximately three days. You may experience mild itching, dryness and redness.

Am I allowed to wear makeup after treatment?

Immediately after treatment you will do nothing, you will not wash your face until the next morning. You may wear makeup the next day. Do not over moisturize the skin as you want the skin to flake off. You must wear sunscreen daily.

Do I need to stop using active ingredients in my skincare before treatment?

Annie will be able to answer any specific questions you have about your current regimen. You do not need to stop using actives in your skincare before the treatment. However, you must be off Accutane for 6 months.

What are the active ingredients in the Micro Peel?

Micro Peel Aftercare

  • Days 1-2 your skin will become tight but likely won’t start to peel yet. Days 3-7 the skin will begin to peel, starting around the mouth and eyes and ending on the forehead. By day 7 most of the skin will have peeled off, but if there is leftover flakiness for a few more days that is very normal. If you are doing several peels in a row, the peeling effect will not be as intense.

  • Wash with Jade Hydrating Aloe Cleanser 1-2x daily using your fingers only. Gently massage the face with lukewarm water. Do not use products that strip the skin barrier (such as foaming cleansers). Do not scrub, use a wash cloth, Clarisonic brush or any exfoliating products for AT LEAST 7 days after treatment.

  • Do not use too much moisturizer. You want the skin to be a little dry to help with the peeling process.

  • Avoid sun exposure to the treatment areas for one month. Apply Sapphire Soothing Day Cream at least 30 minutes prior to sun exposure and repeat after every two hours of sun exposure. Wear a hat and avoid being under the sun while you are peeling and healing.

  • Makeup may be applied after treatment but avoid it if possible.

  • Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot baths or showers until the skin is recovered.

  • Avoid waxing, facials, botox, injectable fillers or any other skin care treatment for two weeks after your peel.

  • New cell regeneration requires at least 8 glasses of water a day (if you already drink that- increase by 2 glasses)

  • 6 treatments are suggested for maximum results.

  • If your skin is giving you any issues please notify Annie immediately at 702-608-6252 . Any further questions please reach out!
